About us
Time to introduce myself and my small kennel “Laumiukas” a little more. We are located in Lithuania, a homestead in the Prienai district, between Birštonas and Aukštadvaris.
For me, dogs are members of my family. They live, travel, experience daily adventures, and even worked together for a long time, together with me. They have been an integral part of my life for many years.
Although the kennel is registered and the first litter born in 2020, I have been with dogs since my early teens.
How did dogs come into my life?
Dogs have surrounded me since I was a small child, when I got my parents’ first puppy. I grew up with the mixbreed Biga, and later with her son Bugis. The wonderful Bugis accompanied me all the long years of my life until the fall of 2023.
As a teenager, after difficult life events, I realized that I would not survive without a big and serious dog. I “saw” my dog on every walk, every activity. After persuading my family to agree to the decision to purchase a large pedigree dog, I began intensively saving money. Already at that time, I was fascinated by Czechoslovakian wolfdogs, and next to that, Bernese Mountain Dogs. I started contacting breeders. After talking, I realized that the Czechoslovakian wolfdog was too complicated a breed for our home at that time, so we bought a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy Runa Trispalvis Žaismas.
Runa was the dog that introduced me to the world of cynology. The first exhibitions started with her (for Christmas, I asked my parents not for gifts, but to buy registration for an dog show or seminar), many trainings and activities. Science and work related to animals followed.
In 2015, I unexpectedly met Czechoslovakian wolfdog again. It was Dag (Wagas Wulfrick Girios Dvasia), the uncle of my current girl, Juki. And again I remembered that admiration for the CSW (czechoslovakian wofdogs)
After receiving the breeder’s contacts, I started to communicate with Girios Dvasia kennel, joined to go to dog shows, breedings, other activities together, started to take care of other owners’ wolfdogs while they are on trips. That’s how I got to know this breed much more, and I really knew – this dog would be mine.
Thus, in 2017, my wonderful Juki Arcanum Girios Dvasia was born. She became my further teacher in cynology, and the founder of the “Laumiukas” kennel. We had, and still have, many wonderful activities with her, such as filming in movies/commercials, educations, children’s camps, guiding, first competitions, and other activities. Juki and her daughter Myo, lives with me at the moment, and we are often visited by Juki’s co-owned son, Ulf.
What is the purpose of my kennel?
It is important for me to breed dogs that would have the best possible contribution to the further development of the breed. Therefore, I try to ensure that the puppies of the kennel have the origin of good old lines, they are anatomically as close as possible to the standard, they do not lose their lightness, elegance and wolfishness, they are social and have an adequate breed-specific character.
In the kennel, puppies grow up in a home environment. From a young age, they are allowed to go outside to learn about the world around them. From the moment they start walking, they are introduced to various surfaces, sounds, and objects. As early as possible, they start going to the city together, they are introduced to the big and busy life of people.
